OwnersDave Atkins
Dave has always held an interest in automobiles and as he has grown older, has become more and more a fan of the older automobiles of his youth. With the help of his son Ben, who is now an engineer for a Nextel Cup Racing Team, he has restored a ’66 GTO convertible from the muscle car era. He is currently working on a complete frame-off restoration of a ‘70’s muscle car, again with the advice and assistance of his son Ben. Recently, having been given the opportunity to turn his growing passion into more than just a hobby, Dave has joined the team at Quest Motor Works. Anyone wanting to talk about older automobiles of the forties and fifties, muscle cars of the sixties and seventies, or even racing, has an eager listener with Dave. Ernest Coburn
It takes foresight and a strong desire to contribute to the community and make a successful project happen. I have followed this vision in making a significant contribution to the Southwest Virginia Community by building The Falls Plaza. This can be seen on www.fallspaza.com. I plan to develop Phase II of The Falls Plaza where Quest Motor Works will be located having a beautiful waterfall as its signature. A native of Brewton, Alabama, Dr. Coburn earned his Medical Degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Coburn spent the next six years of military service as a Flight Surgeon. He completed his Residency training in Diagnosis Radiology at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas and then finished at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee where he was recognized as Chief Resident. He earned board certification in that specialty in 1978 through the American College of Radiology. He has been a certified B-Reader for Black Lung patients since 1995. In 2002, he extended his training certification to include a second board certification in Nuclear Cardiology. After practicing in Tennessee and Texas, Dr. Coburn now pursues his special area of interest including Mammography, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, B-Reading, Nuclear Cardiology, Ultrasound, Angiography, Myelography and Interventional Radiology. Concurrently, he owns Imaging International, P.C., providing in-office imaging services in the rural healthcare setting by digital radiography. Dr. Coburn’s interest includes the mini storage business as owner and builder of several in Texas. Dr. Coburn and his wife Terri, moved to Southwest Virginia in 1987 where he currently has a practice in Diagnostic Radiology with Imaging International, Dr. Coburn started Quest Group, LLC to develop The Falls Plaza, which is a 40,000 square foot office/retail facility in Abingdon, Virginia. The Quest Group presently owns several rental properties and is in the process of developing a Williamsburg motif residential development and patio type homes, high density quads, and elegant single family dwellings. Ernest Coburn recently joined with Tony Frederick, after knowing Tony over the past 14 years, to form The Quest Motor Works to sell exquisite Motor Cars in the Southwest Virginia area and nationally. The new company, The Quest Motor Works, in conjunction with The Quest Group, LLC has vaulted Dr. Coburn into the construction field as well as the new and used cars business. Dr. Coburn also has a strong interest in business and community service. These interests, combined with his profession, birthed the unique concept of The Falls Plaza and the hope of building homes and commercial building emulates the Abingdon motif, as well as the selling of new and used motor cars under the dealership of Panoz Auto Development.
